The Memorial Museum of Paneriai is closed on national holidays.  
On the eve of a national holiday the The Memorial Museum of Paneriai closes one hour early.  
Tours are offered in Lithuanian, Russian and English.

Only the museum guides and the city guides with a valid accreditation of the museum are allowed to lead guided tours.

How to get there  
 

The village next to the Memorial Site of Paneriai is called Aukštieji Paneriai. You can reach it by car or public transport (train or bus).

By Bus

To reach Aukštieji Paneriai by bus you have to leave the city with a Trolleybus (electric). Exit at the last stopŽemieji Paneriai and take a bus until the stop Aukštieji Paneriai.

Following Trolleybuses go from City Centre to Žemieji Paneriai:

4 Antakalnis–Žemieji Paneriai.

6 Žirmūnai–Kalvarijų g.–J. Basanavičiaus g.–Žemieji Paneriai.

12 Žirmūnai–Šeimyniškių g.–J. Basanavičiaus g.–Žemieji Paneriai.

Following buses go from Žemieji Paneriai to Aukštieji Paneriai:

8 Žemieji Paneriai–Aukštieji Paneriai–Vaidotai.

20 Žemieji Paneriai–Mūrinė Vokė–Elektrinė–Lazdynai.

51 Žemieji Paneriai–Trakų Vokė–Daniliškės.

Get off at the bus stop Aukštieji Paneriai 20 and 51 and go straight ahead to the pedestrian bridge over the railway. Then you have to go by foot same way as described above. From Vilija 8 you have to cross the big road and then walk down Vilijos str. which ends at the pedestrian bridge.

By Train

To reach Paneriai from Vilnius by train. You can find the train schedule on http://www.litrail.lt/. There is a connection almost every hour. Paneriai is the first stop after 10 min. Turn right and go about 1 km straight ahead along the road (Agrastų str.) – You will reach the Memorial.

By Car

You leave Vilnius via Švitrigailos str. Turn to A15/A3/ Dariaus ir Girėno str. E28/E85 (signs for E28/E15/E85/103/A3). Continue to follow A15/A3/E28/E85. Turn right at Eišiškių plentas. Take the exit towards Baltosios Vokės str. Turn right at Baltosios Vokės str. Turn left at Agrastų str. At the Memorial Site you will find a car park.

We give you the advice to use a GPS or an online rout planner (e.g. www.google.com/maps). The address of the Memorial is Agrastų street 17, Paneriai. To go there by car will take you about 20–25 minutes (~15 km).
